Pastor Jonathan David

The Jonathan David Foundation

The vision of this foundation is to “give hope and a better future” to poor and less privileged children.
It’s a great pleasure to use my personal finances to invest in these children at a very young age in school up to college or university, by paying their school and college fees, providing books, uniforms and even money to upkeep them.

For now, this foundation is helping four children, three in Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 and one in Ghana. 🇬🇭

The stories of two of these children in Sierra Leone (Jonathan P. Koroma and Jonathan J Browne) dearly touch my heart.
In 2012, I went on mission work to pastor a branch church for Destiny International Worship Center in Masuba, Makeni.
The father of one of the children was an elder in the church that I was pastoring. His name was Joseph Koroma (of blessed memory), he mysteriously died in the heat of the Ebola outbreak in that part of the country in 2014. His wife was pregnant then and when she gave birth, the child was named after me.

The mother of the other child was also a member of the church. After the completion of my mission work and left to go back to Freetown in 2015, she was pregnant and named the boy after me, unfortunately, she passed away in 2019.
The stories of these two boys and the loss of their parents linger in my mind always and I have purposed in my heart to do all I can to give these children hope and a better future.
